Berth allocation and bookings
Every berth on a map you can act on. Drag a visiting yacht onto a free spot and the booking, the arrival and the occupancy update for the whole team.
Marina software for ports and boatyards
Plan berths on a live map, know who is inside the yard, and take service jobs from request to sign-off. From the office, the pontoon or the yard.
Features
Six areas where marinas lose the most time to phone calls, paper and spreadsheets. Switch on the ones you need; add the rest later.
Every berth on a map you can act on. Drag a visiting yacht onto a free spot and the booking, the arrival and the occupancy update for the whole team.
Register visitors, crews and contractors at the gate. Decide which areas each one may enter and issue their access credentials automatically.
A request becomes a quote, the quote gets approved, the job lands with a person or department, with the hours they actually have free.
Checklists on a phone, filled in on the pontoon. Each item gets a status, a priority and a photo, and the inspection report is produced for you.
Reserve equipment and tools before the job starts, several at once, and see when each one is free. Usage history builds up on its own.
Recurring checks on boats left in your care, from templates you define. Every visit goes into the boat’s history, with an automatic report.
Add-ons when you need them: client app, QR code entry, notifications, boat tracking and custom features. Integrations with other systems are built on request.
Spreadsheets vs marina software
Spreadsheets work until three people need the same answer at the same time. This is what changes.
| Task | Spreadsheets, paper and email | Marina Software |
|---|---|---|
| Free berths | Today: Correct if someone remembered to update the file | With Marina Software: A live map the office and the dock both see |
| Who is in the yard | Today: A sign-in book at the gate | With Marina Software: Logged entries with permissions by area |
| Service jobs | Today: Email threads, calls and sticky notes | With Marina Software: Request, quote, approval and assigned hours in one flow |
| Inspections | Today: A clipboard and photos on someone’s phone | With Marina Software: Mobile checklist, report generated when you finish |
| Several sites | Today: One file per site, merged by hand | With Marina Software: One account, with roles and permissions per site |
Buyer’s guide
No two marinas are organised the same way. Some run one basin, some a basin plus a yard and a fuel dock; some split work by department, others by person. Good marina software is set up around your facilities, roles and permissions, rather than forcing your team into someone else’s process.
Ask in the demo: “Can you set this up with our pontoons, our departments and our permission levels?”
A marina without a yard does not need work-order planning on day one, and a boatyard without berths does not need a berth map at all. Look for software that is split into modules, so you start with what you run today and add access control, inspections or equipment booking when you are ready, without migrating to a new system.
Years of berth holders, boats and customers sit in spreadsheets or an older program. Moving them is where many projects stall. Ask whether the vendor does the import for you and whether it is included in the price. With Marina Software, setup and data migration are part of the deal.
Most marina work happens outside: checking a boat, letting a contractor in, inspecting a pontoon. If the software only runs on a desktop, the information reaches it hours later. Check that staff can use it from a phone or tablet, with photos, where the work is done.
Groups with several sites need one view across all of them, while each site keeps its own staff and rules. Ask whether every site runs from the same account with separate roles and permissions, or whether you would need one installation per site.
Customer and boat records are personal data, and for European operators it matters where they live. Marina Software runs on servers in Europe.
Ask what training is included, how fast support replies and what happens when you need a connection to another system. Marina Software includes basic training for your team, support that replies within 24 hours, and integrations developed on request when you need them.
